ATTRIBUTED TO JEROME-MARTIN LANGLOIS (French, 1779-1838) DINING AT THE TAVERN. Oil on wood panel interior scene shows a woman serving to two men and child at linen-covered table. The interior having a blazing fire with kettle, barrels an utilitarian ware. Appears to be unsigned but identified on paper attached to reverse. Housed in an antique gilt gesso-decorated frame with double gilt liner. SIZE: 10″h x 12-1/2″w. CONDITION: Some consolidated varnish layer, otherwise very good. 9-96367 (4,000-5,000)
