DUNBAR DYSON BECK (American, 1903-1986) PORTRAIT OF A SOLDIER. Oil on canvas half portrait shows a young man wearing a green Army shirt with necktie. His hands are clasped over a red and blue book and a yellow curtain swag is behind him. Signed lower right “Dunbar Beck 44″. Housed in its original white wash molded wood frame. We are told that this is from the dispersal of the Estate in 1986. Dunbar Beck was a muralist. His murals are in Rockefeller Center and also painted the interior of a piano for President Theodore Roosevelt in the White House. SIZE: 24″ x 20”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-94265 (1,000-2,000)
