SHERATON GILTWOOD SPLIT-SPINDLE OVERMANTLE MIRROR AND PAIR SMALL GILTWOOD MIRRORS, PROBABLY BOSTON. Circa 1840. The first with three mirrorplates within carved leaftip surround, the frame with turned split spindles applied with grape clusters, the corner blocks applied with rosettes. The pair of giltwood wall mirrors with spiral twist frames. SIZE: Overmantle: 26″ x 51-1/2″. Pair: 15″ x 9-1/2″ ea. PROVENANCE: From a fine Beacon Hill and Thomaston estate.
