PAIR OF FLEMISH BAROQUE CARVED GILTWOOD ALTAR CANDLESTICKS. 18th century. Now fitted as lamps, the carved giltwood bases of stepped triangular form with scrolling feet. SIZE: Each: 26″ h. of candlestick. Overall as lamp: 41-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine Beacon Hill and Thomaston estate. CONDITION: With normal and expected paint and gilding losses. Old inactive insect damage. Loss to side of one foot. Otherwise very good. 9-93576 (400-600)
