GERMAN REGIMENTAL STEIN. Circa 1907. This half-liter porcelain stein of “Res. Fastel Paul” painted with vignette of an officer with saber on horseback jumping a fence, with a city in background. The names of officers and enlisted men are listed beside the handle. The upper rim identifies the regiment as follows: “1.Hann.-Drag.-Regt.Nr.9. (3.Esc.Metz.) 1907 / 10.” The stein fixed with a cast and carved pewter lid embossed with three cartouches and surmounted by a finial depicting a German officer on a rearing horse. SIZE: 11-1/2″ overall h. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Geraldine Gaba, Scottsdale, AZ. CONDITION: Very good overall. No maker’s marks present. 9-94879 (200-400)
