Comprising: 1) “Sleigh Scene”, teapot with cover, the scene showing man in horse-drawn sleigh in a clearing with two deer, framed by pine trees, within a border of leaves and thistles; unmarked, probably Enoch Wood & Sons; 8-1/4″ h. x 12″; reference Anglo-American China, Part II, by Sam Laidacker, p. 107, WMD 4. 2) “Commodore MacDonough’s Victory”, teapot with floral border, irregular center; unmarked, probably Enoch Wood & Sons, 8″ h. 3) “Mount Vernon, the Seat of the Late General Washington”, teapot, unmarked, 6-1/2″ h. x 9-1/2″ l. 4) “Lafayette at Franklin’s Tomb”, teapot with cover, floral border; unmarked, Enoch Wood & Sons, 7-1/2″ h. x 10-1/2″ l. 5) “Landing of Lafayette at Castle Garden, New York, 16 August 1824”, teapot by James & Ralph Clews, unmarked. SIZE: As noted above. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Geraldine Gaba, Scottsdale, AZ. CONDITION: 1) Good with chip in pot rim, crack through base continuing through interior of pot, second hairline parallel to base rim interior of pot, small glaze chips in handle. 2) Extensive repair to handle and finial, hairline cracks in body. 3) Appearance good, with restoration to lid, finial and spout. 4) Good overall, rim chip interior pot, small glaze chips and wear marks, finial re-attached to lid. 5) Lid and handle absent. 9-94827 (3,000-4,000)
