RENAISSANCE REVIVAL CARVED DOG’S HEAD WALNUT ARMCHAIR. Circa 1875. In the manner of Thomas Brooks or John Jeliff. Rectangular padded back with rolled crest rail joined to upholstered arms, the hand grips with life-like carved dog’s heads, raised on incurved carved supports, centering the deep rectangular upholstered seat, raised on tapering ring-turned cylindrical legs terminating in casters. SIZE: 36-1/2″ h. of back. CONDITION: Structurally very good with original finish. Frame in need of tightening. Fabric tattered. 9-93066 (1,500-2,500)
