ACKERMANN & CO. (Publisher, Mid 19th Century) “LOOKING IN”. Colored engraving after a painting by H.P. Parker and published in London, 1837. The hand colored print shows a man poking through an alcove reading the Navaland Military Gazette. Titled in the plate. Housed in a modern stepped gilt frame with watercolored highlighted matte. This image was also used later by Currier & Ives. SIZE: Sight: 22-1/2″ x 17-3/4″. CONDITION: Professionally restored with repaired tears. Generally good. 9-92734 (500-800)
