WILLIAM STANLEY HASELTINE (American, 1835-1900) “BREEZY DAY, NAHANT”. Oil on canvas scene shows ten + sailboats with full sails on a medium to light blue ocean. Foreground has a rock ledge shoreline with two trees. Small waves lap on seaweed covered rock. Signed lower left and dated with what appears to be “1864”. Housed in a good antique gilt frame with gold liner. Pencil title and signed on reverse of canvas. SIZE: 11” x 14”. CONDITION: Restretched on new stretcher, strip lined with minor inpainting.
