ATTRIBUTED TO WILLIAM MATTHEW PRIOR (American, 1806-1873) PORTRAIT OF A LAD. Oil on canvas portrait shows a distinguished looking boy with long dark hair, dark colored coat and white shirt in a shoulder length portrait. Housed in probably its original mahogany veneered period frame which has a backboard stenciled “From Hitney. & Ramsdel Farmington, ME”. SIZE: 10-1/2” x 8-1/2”.
