SUPERB EARLY 19TH CENTURY EMPIRE SETTEE IN THE MANNER OF QUERVELLE. This classical masterpiece is hand-carved in solid mahogany with contrasting figured mahogany veneers. Having a strong top rail and extremely bold carved cornucopia arms, heavily detailed carved base brackets ending in sweeping paw feet on castors. Nice rich patina, and original horsehair covering, that has a few surface tears. SIZE: Approximately 80” w x 36” h x 25” d. CONDITION: A couple of breaks in the original horse hair upholstery, minor imperfections to wood. Generally very good in original old finish. 9-71514 (5,750-6,750)
