RUSSELL TABER HYDE (American, 1886-1966) FIGURES ON THE BEACH. Oil on canvas beach scene shows several colorful bathers on a sandy beach. Some bathers are in a green and blue ocean. Signed lower right and dated “1916”. Housed in a wonderful gilt molded wood frame with a Guido Frame Studio stamp. Hyde was a member of the Ogunquit Maine School and he proceeded Charles Woodbury’s Summer School and served as teacher and director. SIZE: 20” x 27”.
