GEORGE AMES ALDRICH (American, 1872-1941) BRITTANY GIRL. Outstanding oil on canvas scene shows a young French girl with country dress and white bonnet seated at edge of sand dune looking out over a tranquil ocean. Probably a French Brittany scene. Signed lower left “G. Ames Aldrich”. Housed in what appears to be its original gilt gesso decorated pierced wood frame with gold liner. SIZE: 16” x 20”.
