FINE PAIR OF NEW ENGLAND WINDSOR CONTINUOUS ARM BOW-BACK CHAIRS. Probably Rhode Island origin having been brought down to its old grain painted finish as they previously were painted white. Nicely formed and carved seat supported by four well turned splayed legs having an H-stretcher which is nicely turned. Front angled arm supports match the leg turnings. PROVENANCE: From a fine downeast Maine home. SIZE: 37” h x 18” seat h. CONDITION: Very good. 9-29364 (3000-5000)
