OUTSTANDING VICTORIAN WALNUT CARVED HIGH POST BED. The tall headboard has side posts with burl panels, diamond carved decoration and large five petal shell type carving at top. The headboard suspends between posts and has two large dome top burl inset panels along with three other burl panels. A central 10” carved concentric circle with ball decoration. The large crest has beehive on shield carving with C-scroll burl panel and other carved embellishments. Top of crest is a large five lobe shell type carving. The foot board has curved sides, long horizontal burl panel with dome crest having round circle and burl panel. SIZE: 114” h x 71” l x 55” w. CONDITION: Very good. 8-87260 (2,000-3,000)
