UNSIGNED (French, 19th Century) PORTRAIT OF TWO CHILDREN. Oil on canvas full length portrait of two children. One dressed in formal black coat and trousers with white vest having gold buttons and white shirt. He holds a French flag over his shoulder. His other hand is around the other child who is seated in a large Louis XVI chair and wears a green dress and holds a fancy broad rim black hat. A top hat is on the ground next to a model ship. The back setting is a vine covered open porch. Obviously a portrait of two aristocratic children. Housed in an antique gesso decorated foliate scroll frame. SIZE: 20-1/2” x 13-3/4”.
