SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1863. Cal. 58. NSN. 40” part oct bbl. Standard Springfield markings on lockplate, which is dated 1865. Bbl is dated 1864 and has normal inspector marks on left quarter flat. “HJK” cartouche on left flat of stock. CONDITION: Slight signs of cleaning on bright parts. Bright casehardening colors on lockplate. Hammer has turned dark. Stock is fine with sharp edges and little signs of use, but there is some moisture damage near buttplate. Mechanically fine.
