JACOBEAN CARVED OAK COFFER. First half 18th century. The rectangular chamfered hinged top opening to a well fitted with two tills, the front chip-carved with four diamond and pinwheel panels above the molded apron flanked by fluted pilasters, the case ends with recessed panels. SIZE: 23″ h. x 52″ w. x 22″ d. CONDITION: Very good overall with acceptable old insect damage and repairs to feet. Retains original wrought iron hinges, lock, hasp, and key.
