NEW ENGLAND SHERATON MAHOGANY BOWFRONT CHEST OF DRAWERS. Circa 1840. The rectangular top with turret corners and shaped splashguard applied with cast-brass rosettes above the conforming case fitted with four cockbeaded figured mahogany drawers, flanked by three-quarter columnar reeded pilasters above the arched apron, raised on swelled ring-turned legs. SIZE: 44-1/2″ overall h. x 39″ h. of top x 38″ case w. x 19-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Structurally very good, with small repair to splashguard; retains original backboards and legs, hardware replaced.
