AMERICAN SACK-BACK WINDSOR ARMCHAIR, PROBABLY NEW YORK. Circa 1800. The bowed crest rail joined to nine spindles, the continuous mid-rail terminating in flattened grips, above a shaped saddle seat raised on splayed turned legs joined by a bulbous turned H-stretcher. SIZE: 36″ h. of back. 18″ h. of seat. CONDITION: With old cleaned surfaces, repairs to seat, legs ended out and pieced. 9-95242 (500-700)
