*SPECIAL ORDER SEMI DELUXE WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. Beautiful rifle with special order 24” oct to round bbl, half-magazine, uncheckered walnut stock with capped pistol grip and Winchester hard rubber buttplate. It has a replacement front sight with a Lyman 6A two leaf folding rear sight and a Lyman 21 long side sight. Accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum yellow sheet completely identifying this rifle and indicating shipment on 9-26-1904 to order number 249252. SN 131148. CONDITION: Very fine plus, bbl and magazine tube retain 95-97% strong bright original blue. The receiver retains 93-95% strong bright original blue with edge wear and a spot of rust pitting on the bottom. The lever retains 50-60% case colors with the balance turned silver and the hammer about 98% dark colors. Wood is sound with the buttstock retaining most of an old refinish and the forearm most of its original finish. Brilliant shiny bore. 4-49967 JR219 (5,000-7,000)
