MABLE MAY WOODWARD (American, 1877-1945) BEACH SCENE. Oil on canvas scene shows a small beach area with several groups of bathers with two in the water. Signed lower left “M Woodward”. Back of stretcher bearing an ACA American Heritage Gallery label and a label from JA Cooling & Sons, London. Housed in a modern gilt molded wood frame. SIZE: 16” x 20-1/4”. CONDITION: Large areas of inpainting. There is a very thick layer of shellac which has been partially removed around the signature. 9-71746 (10,000-15,000)
