CHARLES A. MAHONEY (American, 20th Century) “CHEESE AND CRACKERS”. Oil on masonite tabletop grouping of red apples, oranges, plate of cheese and crackers with knife, pitcher and bowl. Signed lower left “Charles A. Mahoney”. Housed in a nice gilt molded wood frame. Artist biography by the artist affixed to back. Mahoney was the president of the Guild of Boston Artists. PROVENANCE: Bought from the artist at a show at the Gild of Boston Artist’s. Letter accompanies lot from artist dated 1981. SIZE: 16” x 20”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-26259 (300-500)
