ANTIQUE TABRIZ RUG. 1st quarter 20th century. The central midnight blue arabesque medallion within a second salmon pink medallion bordered with turquoise and ivory outline, further within midnight blue spandrels, all with dense polychrome floral vinery, the main border of stylized geometric flowerheads on a wine red ground, the guard borders comprised of repeating diamonds with serrated edges. SIZE: 6’7″ x 4’5″. CONDITION: With some losses to one end, minor selvage losses, overall even wear, some pulling of pile from cat claws. Still very good overall with rich palette. 9-95605 (800-1,200)
