*SCARCE 1906 PORTUGUESE LUGER. Cal. 30 Luger. Usual configuration with 4-3/4” bbl. Marked over the chamber with a crown over “M2” intertwined. Full checkered wood grips, grip safety and no stock lug. Magazine is stainless steel body with unmarked aluminum base. Accompanied by an original Portuguese holster of lighter weight lined leather having a black front and brown back. It has a pocket on the front edge for cleaning rod. SN 719. This pistol is consecutive numbered to another Portuguese Luger in this auction. CONDITION: Very good to fine, all matching except the hold open, grips, magazine and firing pin which are unnumbered. Bbl and frame retain about 92-93% strong original blue. Toggle link and bolt retain 97-98% strong bright blue. Receiver retains about 80% dull blue turning plum. Grips are sound with moderate wear to the diamond points. Bore is strong and bright beginning to turn slightly frosty in the grooves. Holster is sound with slightly crackled finish and a hole worn at the toe.
