CASED GERMAN SILVER & GLASS CORDIALS & CHAMPAGNES BY J.H. WERNER, BERLIN. Set consist of twenty-four 7-1/4” h silver and glass champagne flutes. Each having a 5” dia under tray and twenty-four 2-3/4” h silver and glass cordials each having a 3-1/2” under tray. Champagnes and under trays monogrammed with an “AS”. The clear glass inserts having an etched upper rim. All fitted in a custom mahogany velvet and leather lined case having five removable trays. The large case has a hinged top and side brass handles. Each silver piece marked “J.H. Werner, Berlin 800”. Late 19th Century. SIZE: Case is 7” h x 34-1/2” w x 24” d. PROVENANCE: The Lily & Edmund J. Safra Collection, Sotheby’s Sale No. 8124, Lot 557.
