RARE WINCHESTER SPECIAL ORDER MODEL 1973 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44WCF. Standard grade 3rd Model rifle with 24” oct bbl, full magazine, Beach’s front sight and rare 7-leaf platinum line express sight. Uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate with trap and single set trigger. Also fitted with factory sling loops. Accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum yellow sheet identifying this rifle including the set trigger, sights, sling and swivels as having been shipped 8/23/93. SN 431732. CONDITION: Fair to good. Refinished bbl, magazine tube and foreend cap. Receiver cleaned bright with moderate pitting. There is a small crack in the toe, retains most of an old refinish. Front sling loop is missing, stud is present. Strong bright bore with fine pitting. Hammer sometimes will follow the bolt on closing. 4-48638 JR552 (2,500-3,500)
