UNSIGNED (American, 19th Century) NEW ENGLAND INTERIOR. Colorful folk art oil on canvas interior scene shows a fireplace with large cauldron over a blazing fire. A recently harvested group of vegetables on the floor, corn cobs hanging from a drying rack, a 20-pane window which overlooks flowering garden, sawbuck table, red ladder-back chair and cooking utensils are seen in the room. Canvas is unstretched. Housed in an antique lemon gold frame. SIZE: 11″ x 15-1/2″. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Chad Richards, Camden, Maine. CONDITION: Edges have multiple tack holes with loss of paint around them. Otherwise very good. 9-94683 (1,000-2,000)
