*FINE SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1898 KRAG RIFLE. Cal .30-40. 30” round bbl. The “JLA” cartouche is dated 1903. It has a brass muzzle protector and a cleaning rod and oiler under the trapdoor in the buttplate. All markings and features are standard. An issue number 22 is stamped on top of the stock at the buttplate. CONDITION: Fine with 50% blue on bbl and trigger guard, 75% on buttplate and bbl band. Action is mottled gray with bright bolt and flame blue extractor. Wood has a crisp cartouche and some minor dents and scratches. 4-49727 FS69 (1,000-2,000)
