CHARLES DALY LARGE FRAME SHOTGUN. Cal. 8 bore. High quality Prussian made Daly with 34” bbls, high, solid, concave, matted rib with double ivory beads, marked on the top with the makers name and “Krupp Fluid Steel Barrels”. Double lump, with dbl bite and bbl extension with modified Greener cross bolt. Receiver is dbl scallop box lock with side clips and cocked indicators marked on the water table in two places “PRUSSIA”. Wood is nicely grained walnut with horn tip, splinter forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with teardrop side panels. Double triggers and ejectors. SN 2158. CONDITION: Extremely fine, bbls retain 96-97% strong original bright blue and may have been cut to present length. Receiver retains 75-80% subtle case colors under a coat of dried oil. Stock has a professionally repaired crack through the wrist and otherwise retains most of its fine oil finish. Bores are bright and shiny with a spot or two of fine pitting. 4-48880 JR109 (1,500-3,000)
