GALLE MARQUETRY NESTING TABLES. Outstanding set of Gallé tables have beautifully inlaid marquetry tops depicting scenes of the four seasons. The largest table depicts summer with flowers in bloom and a swarm of butterflies. The second table depicting spring shows birds standing in lily pond with one leg raised with nondescript trees in the background. Third table depicts fall with fallen leaves being blown in a swirling wind. While the final table depicts winter with leaves and stems partially covered in snow. The legs of the large table as well as the stretchers of each table are beautifully carved in flowing Art Nouveau design. The large table is signed in marquetry in lower left corner “Gallé”.
