TWO PIECES OF EARLY FLINT GLASS. 1) Early cobalt blue pressed glass vase, probably Sandwich Glass Works or Pittsburgh having a wide flaring rim, press decoration of oblong oval surrounded by foliate scrolls. Base is eight sided and tight rayed decoration below. Wonderful deep blue color with open pontil. 2) Pittsburgh loop pattern footed compote. Clear glass. SIZE: 1) 5-1/2″ h x 4-1/2″ dia. 2) 8-1/2′ h x 11-1/4″ dia. CONDITION: 1) Base has chips at pointed edges, generally very good. 2) Roughness to edges, generally very good. 9-90856, 9-93283 (500-1,000)
