PAINT DECORATED HINGE LID BOX. Beveled top having a painted central panel of a house on a cliff with a road on another cliff. Corners are red drapes with hanging tassel. S-scroll painting on bevel. Front having a scene of boats on water nearing large castle with figures. A tall lighthouse is seen at point of land. Mid 19th Century. Wonderful old patina. SIZE: 5-1/2″ h x 13″ w x 9″ d. CONDITION: Generally very good, some open cracks at board joining. 9-90859 (800-1,200)
