*WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 385490. Standard carbine with 20″ bbl, full magazine, homemade copper front sight in a square base with carbine ladder rear sight, missing its screw. Uncheckered wood with straight stock & carbine buttplate. The left side of the chamber area of the bbl is stamped “Odin Alex VA” signifying a re-importation. CONDITION: About good. No orig finish remains being a silver/gray patina overall with fine pitting on the receiver. Wood is sound, retains most of a sanded oil finish. Good mechanics, strong bore with moderate pitting.
