COLT MODEL 1877 DA LIGHTNING REVOLVER. Cal. 38 Colt. Blue and case colored with 4-1/2” bbl, 2-line address, with rampant Colt hard rubber grips. SN 70998. CONDITION: Very fine, all matching. Bbl retains 93-95% strong original bright blue with light muzzle wear and a couple of cleaned spots of rust. The ejector rod housing retains about 30% blue. The grip frame and trigger guard retain 75-80% strong original blue, thin on the backstrap with about all of the bright niter blue on the hammer edge. The frame retains 35-40% faded case colors, brighter in the sheltered areas, turned to silver elsewhere. Grips are sound with light wear.
