*COLT MODEL 1878 ALASKA/PHILIPPINE MODEL DA REVOLVER. Cal. 45 Colt. Blued finish with 6” bbl, extra large trigger guard and bird-head grip with 2-pc walnut grips and a swivel in the butt. The right side of the frame is marked with “U.S.” at the front and “1903” and inspector marks at the rear. The left side and the trigger guard also have inspector marks. SN 47104. CONDITION: About fine, retains 75-80% thin bright original blue overall, mixed with patina. There is about 3” on the right side of bbl and ejector rod housing chemically stripped of their blue, probably from holster storage. Grips are sound and retain about 90% original varnish. Bright shiny bore. Half-cock will not hold. 4-49157 JR256 (1,000-1,500)
