*WINCHESTER MODEL 92 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44WCF. Scarce short rifle with 20” round bbl, button magazine, uncheckered wood with with 9-3/8” forearms, straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. It has a brass bead front sight, slot blank in the rear dovetail and a Marbles spring loaded tang sight. The foreend cap and stock have sling eyes. SN 402150. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains 95-96% strong bright original blue. The receiver retains 25-30% thin blue with the balance worn to silver. Wood is sound with some light oil staining at the wrist and left side of the buttplate. Strong bright bore with scattered pitting. 4-49981 JR207 (1,750-2,500)
