UNSIGNED (American, 19th Century) COASTAL SEASCAPE WITH SHIP. Large oil on canvas scene shows three-mast sailing vessel alongside small sailboat in rough seas. Large rock cliff to right side. Ominous gray clouds coming in from left side. Right side has white billowy clouds with blue sky. Housed in its original fancy gesso decorated wide frame with some gesso loss. SIZE: 24” x 36”.
