OUTSTANDING MOUNTED GROUSE TAXIDERMY DIORAMA. Two large grouse stand on naturalistic wood base with small green leaf branches. Behind the grouse is a fine oval painting of woods and blue sky. This painting is on a quarter oak sawn panel which is the back of a deep shadowbox frame. The sides of the inside are also painted with green forest foliage. The front of the frame is 5″ flat oak with bead inner trim. The front glass has a large corresponding oval outward bubble. One of the finest taxidermy presentations we have seen. SIZE: Overall is 31-1/2″ x 47-1/2″. Sight: 21-1/4″ x 37-1/4″. PROVENANCE: From a fine Maine home. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 9-91819 (1,000-2,000)
