DAGHESTAN ORIENTAL RUG, EAST CAUCASUS. Last quarter 19th century. This striking example with rows of diamond medallions with latchhook centers and 8-pointed stars in ivory, medium indigo, rose-pink and mustard yellow in a deep indigo field, within a polychrome crab border and guard borders of botehs. SIZE: 5′ x 4’1-1/2″. CONDITION: With even wear throughout, the colors now muted. Remains good to very good overall. Foundation, selvage and ends mostly intact. 9-95125 (2,000-3,000)
