*WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 38WCF (38-40). Standard grade carbine with 20” round bbl, full magazine, uncheckered nicely figured wood with straight stock and smooth carbine buttplate. It has a staple and ring in left side of the receiver. SN 770580. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new, probably unfired, retains about all its original bright factory finish to both metal and wood. The forearm band is flaked to about 80% with the balance a light brown patina. The receiver has 2 small spots of flaking at the right rear and a slight halo from the saddle ring. The lever and hammer retain about all of their bright case colors fading to silver on the outer edges. The buttplate retains about 95% bright blue. Wood is crisp with a few minor storage and handling bruises. Brilliant shiny bore. One of the finest 92 carbines to be offered on the open market in a long time. 4-49979 JR208 (6,500-8,000)
