*MARLIN MODEL 1936 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 30-30. Beautiful pre-war rifle with 24” tapered round bbl, ramp front sight with hood, and semi buckhorn rear sight. It has two-thirds magazine, case colored receiver and bolt, uncheckered wood with semi beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with black hard rubber buttplate. SN B6436. Scarce model made only one year in 1936. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, bbl and magazine tube retain about 99% strong bright original blue, the receiver and bolt retain about all their original bright case colors, slightly faded on the bottom front and top right. The lever retains most of its case colors, faded and turning silver. Wood is sound and retains about all of its original bright varnish. Bright shiny bore. 4-49477 JR229 (1,000-1,500)
