IMPORTANT RARE PAIR OF BALTIMORE FEDERAL INLAID AND CARVED MAHOGANY SIDE CHAIRS IN OLD SURFACE. Each molded oval back centering three pierced splats, the centermost with pendant bellflower inlay flanked by pierced splats with leaf tipped carved terminals joined to the shaped seat with unusual D-form frontal rail, the side rail bowed. Raised on square tapered front legs, and flared rear legs joined by a recessed box stretcher. SIZE: 38” height of back, 16- 3/4” seat height. CONDITION: The frames containing old surface with old splices and repairs, very good overall.
