WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 25-20. Standard grade rifle with 24” round bbl, full magazine, Lyman bead front sight and flat top rear sight with a Lyman tang sight. It has uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. SN 74294. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl retains about 40% dull original blue with the balance a blue/brown patina. The magazine tube retains 70-75% blue with the balance brown patina. The receiver retains about 70% bright original blue mixed with patina and scattered pinpoints of rust. The lever retains 40-50% bright case colors with the balance turned silver and the hammer 75% colors. Wood is sound and retains about 80% original varnish with some dark oil staining at the back of the forearm and on the wrist area. Strong bright bore, dark in the grooves. 4-49343 JR40 (800-1,200)
