OUTSTANDING INLAID NAUTICAL MOTIF HINGED BOX. Hinged cover having beveled edges and having a 6″ x 8-1/2″ inlaid scene of two ships passing a lighthouse on green ocean. The scene has decorative string inlaid border and the sky is nicely grained mahogany. All sides of the box have birdseye maple rectangular panels with similar string inlaid borders. Bottom had inset material panel which is missing.Open interior, could be used as a jewelry box or a document box. SIZE: 4-1/2″ h x 11-3/4″ w x 9-1/4″ d. CONDITION: Very good. 9-92015 (2,500-3,000)
