SMITH & WESSON #3 SECOND MODEL AMERICAN REVOLVER. Cal. 44 American. Blued finish, 8” keyhole bbl with pinned blued iron front sight and square butt grip frame with 2-pc walnut grips and lanyard loop in the butt. Left side of the bbl near the forcing cone and the cylinder at each chamber is marked with tiny British proofs. Original grips are serial numbered under the right side. SN 30624. CONDITION: Very good, plus, all matching. Bbl retains 25-30% thinning original blue. Frame and cylinder about 70% thinning, original blue, strong and bright in sheltered areas. Hammer retains about 60% thin cased colors and the trigger guard has turned silver. Grips are excellent retaining strong original finish, slightly battered on the bottom.
