BERNARD KARFIOL (American, 1886-1952) SEATED NUDE. Oil on canvas scene shows girl seated on towel at balcony edge with white towel at shoulders. Two potted plants are at edge of balcony and her feet rest on a checkerboard floor. Unsigned front canvas. Back stretcher has glued paper penned script signature “Bernard Karfiol”. Also black grease pencil “A 399”. The sitter is seen in several different Karfiol paintings. Housed in a gilt replacement frame. SIZE: 22-1/4” x 18”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-97415 (800-1,000)
