ATTRIBUTED TO WILLIAM FREDERICK DE HAAS (Dutch, 1830-1880) SUNLIT WAVES ON BEACH. Oil on canvas beach scene shows two crashing waves in succession on crescent shaped beach under storm clouds with several breaks and sunlight streaming through clouds on waves. Signed lower right “William De Haas 73”. Housed in a modern decorative wood frame. On back of stretcher and canvas in red paint “A. A. I. 61.49”. SIZE: 21” x 36”. CONDITION: Relined with restoration and inpainting. Signature has been enhanced. 9-25525 (5,000-7,000)
