WAYNE BEAM MORRELL (American, 1923-) “SUNLIT LILY POND”. Outstanding large oil on masonite scene shows a view across a pond filled with pink and white blooming lilies and lily pads. The far shore has a man in rowboat next to a dock with two boys fishing. Above them is a house with red roof nestled amongst colorful trees which span the background except for a large gap where two people sit at ocean where three sailboats can be seen beyond. Signed lower right and dated “1983”. Housed in an fine partial gilt frame with linen liner. Title and inscription on reverse with signature. One of the finest Morrell lily pad paintings we have seen.
