TWO FINE CHINESE EXPORT ENAMELED POTTERY PARROTS. First half of the 20th Century. The taller signed beneath the base. Each decorated in jade green enamel with rust-colored beaks and perched on rockwork bases with splashes of brown, green, and beige. SIZE: The taller: 9-1/2″ h. The other: 8-3/4″ h. PROVENANCE: These figures were acquired on mainland China in the 1930’s by a visiting professor. CONDITION: Very good condition, with old firing cracks, old small flakes of enamel loss and wear, no breaks or restoration. 9-92245 (1,500-2,500)
